Bernard Reed brings over 15 years of financial industry experience, having worked extensively with individuals and families navigating complex financial situations. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership roles at several major institutions, including Charles Schwab, Regions Bank, Key Bank, and BMO Harris Bank. His professional background includes leading teams across portfolio management, private lending, trust and estate considerations, and financial planning. Additionally, Bernard has owned and operated his own registered investment advisory firm, providing him with a well-rounded perspective on client needs and firm operations.
His work has included participating in more than $300 million worth of enterprise value business transitions and managing nearly $1 billion in assets during his career. Bernard’s approach is rooted in curiosity and continuous improvement. He not only works hard to address the needs of his clients but also actively questions and refines his own approach to better serve those who rely on him.
Bernard graduated with distinction and honors from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management, along with a minor in Economics. He also completed the Private Equity Certificate Program through the Wharton School of Business.
Outside the office, Bernard enjoys a rich and active personal life. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, he finds time to play tennis and guitar, and pursues his interests in quantum mechanics and cellular biology through self-study. He also enjoys writing as a creative outlet. Bernard and his wife Kamya share a love for attending his stepdaughter Reagan’s choir competitions, catching a movie or a local Indianapolis sporting event, and spending time with their dog, Duchess. A particularly memorable moment in his personal life involved a surprise encounter with actor Justin Hartley on his wedding night, a story that continues to bring laughter and fond memories to family and friends.
